<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of avoiding earlier deterioration of a photoreceptor 3Y due to continuous rubbing against a specified place of the photoreceptor in its peripheral direction during a plurality of driving stops, repetitive strong rubbing against only a specified place during a stop at a maximum pressure point in a nip, etc. <P>SOLUTION: An unillustrated driving control section is so constituted as to perform driving stop control wherein the photoreceptor 3Y which is rotating is stopped in a posture shifted by a predetermined rotation angle θ1[°] of shifting from the posture right before the start of rotation, the rotation angle θ1[°C] of shifting being set to a value meeting both the condition A that the value is larger than a nip angle θ2[°] that a virtual line extending from the center of rotation of the photoreceptor 3Y to one end of a nip in the rotating direction of the photoreceptor and a virtual line extending from the center of rotation to the other end contain and the condition B that the value is an integer which is not a divisor of 360. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
