<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a function of a help screen as far as possible, even when allowing use of a help document unique to a user. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic device can read a help data including positional information indicating a position of a content corresponding to identification information of each operation element, and format information for indicating a style of display, and a document of a form different from the help data, reflects the format information to the style of the display, based on the information included in the read data, only when the data are determined to be the help data capable of interpreting the format information (S22, S23), displays the content of the read data as a text when other than it, and allows an jump operation to display the content of the position indicated by the positional information corresponding to the identification information of the operated operation element, out of the help data by the display means (S28), only when the read data is determined to be the help data for the own device type (S25, S26). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
