A connection apparatus (1) is arranged between a host device (10) and a communication device (20). When the connection apparatus (1) receives a communication start TCP packet from a radio packet communication network (40) after connection with the radio packet communication network (40) is established, the connection apparatus temporarily stores the TCP packet and starts a connection process with the host device (10). When the connection process is complete, the connection apparatus (1) transmits the communication TCP packet temporarily stored, to the host device (10) without a delay.
