<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for driving a liquid crystal panel having five color dots within one pixel. <P>SOLUTION: The method for driving the liquid crystal panel includes steps of short-circuiting adjacent first color sub-pixels spaced at a desired distance, of a plurality of first color sub-pixels arranged at a middle portion of a pixel to apply first color data to the adjacent first color sub-pixels; applying second color data to a plurality of second color sub-pixels arranged at one edge of the middle portion within the one pixel; and applying third color data to a plurality of third color sub-pixels arranged at another edge of the middle portion within the one pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
