PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure strength at the periphery of the bending space of a cam plate. SOLUTION: The connector comprises a female housing 10, a male housing 20, and a slider 30. The slider 30 comprises a first hook 32 which comprises a pair of cam plates 31 and 31 in U-shape as a whole, to holds the slider 30 at a standby position in a housing space S; and a second hook 38 which holds it at an engagement position. Both hooks 32 and 38 are provided with a bending space 35 that opens outside the thickness direction within the range of plate thickness of the cam plate 31, to allow bending of a remaining part outside the thickness direction. A peripheral wall 35A constituting the bending space 35 is formed across the full circumferential direction by punching out with a die for forming the bending space 35, toward the outside from the inside of the thickness direction of the cam plate 31, resulting in assuring strength at the peripheral part of the bending space 35.
