PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical controller for machine tool for reducing machining time and eliminating wasteful power consumption by modifying an NC program automatically so that waiting time for completion, the length of the waiting time, and the like, are checked in advance and such waiting time can be reduced in a parallel execution command. SOLUTION: In the numerical controller of machine tool for processing a plurality of controls in parallel on the basis of a parallel execution command, the parallel execution command includes a parallel execution start command for starting the parallel processing and a parallel execution completion wait command for waiting for completion of the started parallel processing. It is determined whether or not command timing of the parallel execution start command and/or parallel execution completion wait command can be changed so that the completion wait time of the parallel execution completion wait command is reduced and, when it can be changed, the command timing is changed.
