PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single layer photoreceptor having high sensitivity and free of occurrence of an abnormal image such as ground stain even after repeated use. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is obtained by disposing at least a photosensitive layer on a conductive support, wherein the photosensitive layer comprises a single layer containing titanyl phthalocyanine as a charge generating material and an electron transport material represented by formula (1) as a charge transport material. The titanyl phthalocyanine has a maximum diffraction peak at least at 27.2°and a peak at 26.3°as diffraction peaks (±0.2°) at Bragg angles 2θfor a characteristic X-ray of CuKα(wavelength: 1.542Å), wherein peak intensity at 26.3°is in a range of 1-99% of peak intensity at 27.2°.
