A method for increasing productivity of decursin or decursinol angelate by treatment Angelica gigas Nakai with elicitors is provided to improve production yield of decursin or decursinol angelate useful for treating cancer by adding inexpensive elicitors into induced calluses or root tissue, or plant itself during culture process. A productivity of decursin or decursinol angelate is increased by treating calluses, roots or plant itself of Angelica gigas Nakai with at least one elicitor selected from yeast extract, purified yeast extract and chitin, and optionally further treated with copper ion in the amount of 1-100 mg/g based on FCW(fresh cell weight) of Angelica gigas Nakai through spraying, coating, adding into the culture medium or pouring into the surrounding soil for 48 hours to 10 weeks.
