<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the service life of a switch. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner 1 is equipped with input terminals 11a and 11b, a power converter 11, an inverter 12, a switch S, a motor 13, and a control unit 2. The power converter 11 has a full-wave rectifier and a voltage doubler rectifier, and is connected between the input terminals 11a and 11b and the inverter 12. The switch S can select which of the full-wave rectifier and the voltage doubler rectifier, to connect to the circuit between the input terminals 11a and 11b and the inverter 12. To such an air conditioner 1, the control unit 2 keeps connection with the voltage doubler rectifier, until the temperature T of the object whose temperature is conditioned with the air conditioner 1 reaches a set temperature T0, from when the connection is switched from the full-wave rectifier to the voltage doubler rectifier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
