PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating glass sheet edge, whereby a coating liquid can be uniformly applied onto the edge of the glass sheet at a low cost, an apparatus for coating the glass sheet edge, and a glass sheet whose edge is coated by using the method for coating the glass sheet edge. SOLUTION: The apparatus 100 for coating the glass sheet edge is equipped with a glass sheet rotating part 11 that holds the glass sheet 10 nearly horizontally and rotates the same, an applicator part 12 that applies a liquid black ceramic paste onto the edge 10a of the glass sheet 10 by an inkjet method using fine nozzles 20 to form an acid-resistant coating film made of black ceramic on the edge 10a of the glass sheet 10, to improve quality of appearance of the edge 10a, and a uniaxial ball screw 13 that serves as an adjuster of position of the applicator part. The applicator part 12 has its position determined by the ball screw 13 and has a frame 21 on which the nozzles 20 are placed and a movable part 14 on which an adjuster of rotation angle of the applicator part etc. is placed.
