<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groove forming method for a dustproof boot of a bottomed cylinder piston capable of omitting a cutting process which increases cost with long processing time and generates cutting powder while securing wall thickness of an opening end part. <P>SOLUTION: The bottomed cylinder piston 20 wherein diameter of an opening end part 20b side with a recessed groove 34 for the dustproof boot is smaller than that of a piston main body 20a side and the wall thickness of the whole bottomed cylinder piston 20 is approximately uniform is formed by forging a metal material. Then, by ironing the bottomed cylinder piston 20 from a front end of the opening end part 20b toward the piston main body side, a padding part 20c is provided at the opening end part and the recessed groove 34 for the dust proof boot is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
