<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tag support member not deteriorating data communication performance even if a thin plate type RFID tag is attached onto a metallic material. <P>SOLUTION: When an RFID tag using electric waves intervening in data communication is attached onto the metallic material, the data communication is inhibited by influence of reflection waves by the metallic material. This tag support member 10 consisting of a main body part 11, a fixing part 12, and a connection part 13 can float the thin plate type RFID tag 2 from a material to be fixed 20 by a distance of a side 16 by action of the connection part 13 arranged substantially vertically to the main body part 11.
