PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot mounting structure having a function of restricting the axial movement of a boot while reducing its manufacturing cost by reducing the diameter of a raw material required for shaping a shaft. SOLUTION: The boot mounting structure comprises the shaft 9 connected to an inside joint member of a constant velocity universal joint, and the boot 1 mounted on the shaft 9. On the outer surface of a boot mounting portion 20 of the shaft 9 on which the boot 1 is externally mounted, an antislip portion 21 consisting of a number of irregularities is provided for restricting the axial relative movement of the boot 1.
