PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metalworking fluid composition preventing agglutination of a material under severe processing condition, having excellent cooling performance and low risk of ignition and not bringing about aggravation of working environment such as offensive smell. SOLUTION: The metalworking fluid composition comprises 0.1-35 mass% (based on total amount of composition) phosphorus-containing compound represented by the figure (A) in a based oil such as a mineral oil. Cohesiveness in metal working of various kinds of metals including aluminum, magnesium and copper or alloy thereof under conditions having high degree of severity can be prevented by using the fluid composition.
