PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser element and a semiconductor device which can reduce the capacitance while suppressing a decline in mounting strength. SOLUTION: The semiconductor laser element comprises (a) conductive substrate having one principal plane and the other principal plane including a first region and a second region, (b) first electrode formed on one principal plane of the conductive substrate, (c) semiconductor which includes an active layer and is formed on the first region, (d) second electrode formed on the semiconductor portion, and (e) conductor layer which is supported on the second region and is insulated from the second electrode.
