摘要 The invention relates to an electrochemical method for producing nanoscalar particles from a metal compound. In said method, metals are anodically dissolved in an electrolytic cell, the electrolyte solution forming a precipitating component, which produces a poorly soluble compound with the metal ions that are formed and comprising a surface modification agent, which permits surface-modified particles to be formed from the metal compound or a precursor of the latter. The method optionally comprises the isolation of the particles thus formed from the electrolyte solution and the optional calcination of said particles. The method is devoid of waste water and is therefore environmentally friendly and cost-effective. The nanoscalar particles that are produced can be easily redispersed in organic and aqueous media and have a high degree of purity. The particle size can lie significantly below 100 nm. The method is particularly suitable for producing simple metal oxides such as iron oxide and binary metal oxides such as ITO and ATO.
