<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide at low cost a thermal transfer image receiving sheet having a high transfer density and excellent image shelf preservability. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal transfer image receiving sheet has on a substrate at least one receiving layer containing polymer latex and at least one heat insulating layer provided between the receiving layer and the substrate and containing a hollow polymer.
