PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a state detecting device which exactly detects a state of an acceleration sensor. SOLUTION: The state detecting device 10 for the acceleration sensor 7 detects the state of the acceleration sensor 7 attached to a vibrating body, and comprises: an arithmetic means 11 for calculating difference values of measurement results each obtained for every first prescribed period being shorter than the vibration period of the vibrating body, based on the measurement results of the acceleration sensor 7; and a judging means 12 which judges the acceleration sensor 7 to be abnormal, when such the state that a difference value exists in a range from a prescribed lower limit to a prescribed upper limit continues for more than a second prescribed period.
