PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating device which properly controls operations of a condensing unit and a supercooling unit, extends a service life of the supercooling unit while saving on energy, and performs backup operation of the supercooling unit in breakage of a compressor. SOLUTION: This refrigerating device comprises: the condensing unit 20 having the compressors 21, 22 in which a main refrigerant is circulated; the supercooling unit 10 for supercooling the main refrigerant; an outdoor temperature sensor 19 detecting an outside air temperature; and a control instrument 28. The control instrument 28 controls pressures on a suction side, of the compressors 21, 22 within a prescribed range, determining necessity or unnecessity of the operation of the supercooling unit 10 again after the lapse of a prescribed time when the capacity of more than a prescribed value, and the outside air temperature lower than a prescribed temperature are determined, operates the supercooling unit when the necessity of operation is determined, increases the capacity of the other compressor, when it is determined that the capacity of the compressor is not increased, and operates the supercooling unit 10 when the necessity of more capacity is determined.
