The device has an adjusting device connected with a transmission inlet of a superposition gear by a drive part. A steering wheel shaft connects steering wheels of a steering system with another transmission inlet. A pre-load device (70) is provided for producing a pre-load force, where the pre-load force is adjusted in a direction of the rotation axis of sun gears (42, 43) and/or planetary gear stages (57, 58), which stay in engagement with each other in engagement positions. The pre-load device presses external teeth against each other in a region of the engagement positions.
