摘要 A functional ceramic ball for drinking water, which is excellent in heavy metal absorbing properties and antibacterial properties, and has excellent heat resistance and wear resistance, and a preparation method of the functional ceramic ball for drinking water are provided. A functional ceramic ball for drinking water comprises: a ceramic ball substrate which contains hydroxyapatite and is porous; and silver particles coated on the ceramic ball substrate. The hydroxyapatite is Ca0(PO4)6(OH)2. The silver particles have a particle diameter of 50 nm or less. The functional ceramic ball for drinking water is porous. The functional ceramic ball for drinking water includes pores having a diameter of 50 to 200 mum. The functional ceramic ball for drinking water has a porosity of 50 to 85% by volume. A preparation method of a functional ceramic ball for drinking water comprises the steps of: adding a basic material to a solution into which an Ag-containing compound is dissolved, adjusting a pH of the solution, thereby preparing an Ag colloid; preparing a ceramic ball substrate by injection molding of a ceramic ball substrate-forming composition comprising raw materials for the ceramic ball substrate, and a binder; and coating the ceramic ball substrate with the Ag colloid, and firing the ceramic ball substrate coated with the Ag colloid.
