A cap for filling resin foam for a rock bolt and a construction method using the same are provided to prevent overflow of resin foam over a bolt hole when installing the rock bolt and to secure the rock bolt firmly by enabling auger work for the rock bolt. A cap(50) for filling resin foam for a rock bolt comprises a cylindrical through hole, an inclined hole(54), a slit(56), and annular protrusions(58). The cap has a circular truncated cone shape and is made of a flexible synthetic resin. The cylindrical through hole is vertically confined along a vertical center line. The inclined hole is upwardly tapered on the upper side of the through hole. The slit is contoured around the inclined hole. The annular projections are formed on each layer on the outer surface of the cap. A construction method using the cap comprises the steps of: forming a bolt hole on the rock inside a tunnel; filling the resin foam and a resin capsule embedded with an accelerating agent into the bolt hole; inserting the cap at the entrance of the bolt hole; inserting a rock bolt into the through hole of the cap to crush the resin capsule so as to foam and harden the resin foam; and connecting a reinforcing plate and a nut at the exposed end of the rock bolt.
