A vehicle monitoring camera with a rainwater removing device and a control method therefor are provided to drive the monitoring camera according to a driving state by controlling a front-side monitoring camera and a rear-side monitoring camera according to the driving state of a vehicle. A camera(20) is installed in a body(1) of a vehicle. A transparent member(22) is installed in the body(1) to cover a lens of the camera(20). The transparent member(22) is installed in a guide panel(32), and the guide panel(32) is slidably installed in the body(1). A sensor is installed at one side of the body(1). The sensor senses rainwater. A conveying device(50) is installed between the guide panel(32) and the body(1). If the rainwater is sensed by the sensor, the conveying device(50) slides the guide panel(32) at a certain speed or faster before the camera(20) is driven.
