PURPOSE: A method for controlling a vane of an air conditioner is provided to control driving of the vane. CONSTITUTION: A method includes the steps of: a step(220) in which a user selects an automatic wind direction key; a step(250) controlling the vane to move from a closed position to an opened position if the automatic wind direction key is selected; and a step(260) controlling the vane to move within a set automatic wind direction swing zone after the control of movement of the vane. A control part controls the vane to be fixed if the user input control signal through a wind direction stop key to fix position of the vane at current position during driving of the vane. If the vane is within a zone where wind direction is not allowed to be fixed, the control part moves the vane to an outermost boundary of a fixing zone nearest to the zone where fixing is not allowed, and fixes the vane. The vane is fixed at initial position if the automatic wind direction key is not selected before the vane is moved to the initial position. |
