Provided is an adaptive transmission timing control method capable of correctly instructing a timing control signal reporting a transmission timing change amount from a base station to a mobile station and capable of accurately estimating a multi-path state at the base station. When the base station generates control information for controlling the transmission timing of an uplink signal of the mobile station, the control information is reported to the mobile station for each frame of the uplink signal. More specifically, for each RTT (Round Trip Time) cycle of the uplink signal, control information is generated by judging the transmission timing by using a power delay profile obtained by adding/synthesizing uplink signal frames. This increases the resistance against a timing control signal error and enables correct control of the transmission timing.
