The valve (1) has a lever (5) manually operable by an operator between a rest position in which the lever is adjacent to a body (2) and an active position in which the lever is shifted to a non-zero angle with respect to the body, where the lever is articulated to the body. The lever and the body are designed such that manual displacement of the lever towards its active position restrains the operator to a lever gripping manipulation rather than a lever pushing manipulation in the rest position. An independent claim is also included for a protective cap and valve assembly comprising a lever.
