<p>The invention relates to a sensor (2) for detecting the level (44) of a liquid, comprising measuring (4), reference (6), integration (18) and standard (8) capacitors, control means (26), an amplifier (16), a comparator (20) and a complementary standard capacitor (10). According to the invention, during accumulation periods and for given discharge and target capacitors, the control means (26) perform a capacitor charging step (34), a charge transfer step (36), a decision step (38), a conditional discharge step (40) and a return step (42). The given discharge and target capacitors in each period are taken from among pairs of capacitors including the measuring (4) and standard (8) capacitors and the reference (6) and complementary standard (10) capacitors. The invention also relates to a method of estimating the liquid level (44) and of using the sensor (2) in a vehicle.</p> |
