摘要 A method for reserving resources using a multi-interface in a mobile network environment is provided to efficiently use resources and support uniform QoS(Quality of Service) by minimizing the delays due to resource reservation. The first query message, transmitted from an MN(Mobile Node), is propagated through the first path which is connected to CRN(Crossover Router Node) #3 via AR(Access Router) #1, CRN #1, and CRN #2. The first query message has CoA(Care of Address) #1. The second query message, transmitted from the MN as having CoA #2, is propagated through the second path, which is connected to CRN #3 via AR #2 and CRN #2(712). The third query message, transmitted from the MN as having CoA #3, is propagated through the third path, which is connected to CRN #3 via AR #3(714). CRN #3, receiving the query messages through the first to third paths, determines the optimum path. If the optimum path is determined, CRN #2, which corresponds to the optimum path, transmits a resource reserve message to a CN(Correspondent Node)(716). Also CRN #2 sends a resource reserve message to AR #2, which exists on the optimum path, by using CoA #2(718). AR #2, receiving the resource reserve message, reserves resource allocation for the optimum path, and transmits it to the MN(720). The MN, based on the resource reserve message, confirms that the path corresponding to CoA #2 has been determined as the optimum path and resource allocation has been reserved for the optimum path.
