PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a vegetation block without requiring soil and fertilization, having good drainability, hardly causing root rot, enabling rapid production, and enabling the combination in various shapes at a low cost. SOLUTION: The vegetation block is produced as follows. A concrete material containing ligneous carbide fragments 2b as an aggregate is kneaded with water in a required amount, and the resultant mixture is poured in a molding box to mold a concrete block 2 with charcoal, having voids allowing roots of a plant to penetrate therein. A concrete block 5 having a draining groove 5a for draining irrigated water and having a prescribed depth at the lower face is molded separately from the concrete block 2 with the charcoal. The concrete block 2 with the charcoal, and the concrete block 5 are stuck with an adhesive to integrate them. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
