PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for production equipment that can reduce hardware costs by reducing the number and length of installed cables.

SOLUTION: The control system for production equipment comprises a master control device for controlling entire production equipment, a plurality of slave control devices subordinate to the master control device to control drive parts with at least actuators in the production equipment, and communication cables for connecting the master control device and the plurality of slave control devices in series to configure a single closed control loop. Periodic and real-time serial communication for controlling the production equipment is established in the control loop to control the production equipment.
