PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system of determining an excess of a limit value of an operational parameter of a steam turbine system. SOLUTION: The method and the system include two steps. The first step is to receive measurement data 220 about the operational parameter, and to determine the excess to the limit value when the change speed of the data 220 received through a predetermined period of time has exceeded a predetermined limit value. The second step is to perform control operation when the excess of the limit value is determined. The step for receiving the measurement data 220 can include the reception of data concerning the temperature of the steam flowing into the steam turbine of the steam turbine system.
