PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive resin filter material that has high strength and high porosity and can be used even in the circumstances where metals are corroded. SOLUTION: The resin filter material 1 is made of a resin porous body 2 having continuous holes 2c and used to adsorb foreign matters 4 in a fluid. The continuous holes in the resin porous body are obtained by molding a resin blended with at least a pore-forming agent and a reinforcement and then extracting the pore-forming agent from the molded resin body using a solvent that dissolves the pore-forming agent and does not dissolve the resin. In particular, the total volume of the continuous holes 2c is 30% or more of the total volume of the resin porous body 2 and the bending strength of the filter material is 100 MPa or higher.
