摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preferably reduce torque shock when throttle valve opening is varied for switching combustion even if alcohol is mixed in fuel. <P>SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle has an internal combustion engine 1 alternately performing first combustion in which an excess air ratio is set at a lean excess air ratio greater than one, and second combustion in which the excess air ratio is set to 1 or less. The torque shock caused when the throttle valve opening is varied for switching combustion is reduced by the regenerative braking force of a motor generator MG 1 or MG 2. When alcohol is mixed in fuel, the set lean excess air ratio of the first combustion is changed to the leaner side as the ratio of the alcohol mixed becomes larger, and increases the regenerative braking force of the motor generator when the throttle valve opening is varied for switching combustion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
