PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate print processing by efficiently utilizing prepared buffers. SOLUTION: An image processor applies a plurality of specific image processing to image data to be printed which represent an image to be printed, and processes obtained image data based on print layout information to thereby produce print layout image data indicating a state in which the image to be printed is disposed on a printing medium for one page. The image processor is equipped with a plurality of buffers each utilized for the plurality of specific image processing, and a buffer setting section which obtains the number of disposed images regarding the number of images to be printed disposed on the printing medium from the print layout information and sets the number of divisions in the buffers based on the obtained number of disposed images.
