PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the state of an opposite side of a door on a display; to prevent an unexpected contact of the opened door with a person; and to improve security. SOLUTION: This device comprises two cameras 7, 8 which are provided in both it sides of the door, two displays 1, 4 provided to both it sides of the door for displaying images picked up by the cameras 7, 8 on a screen, respectively, and two sensors 2, 5 which detect a person in the vicinity of the door, respectively. When either of the sensors 2, 5 detects the person in the vicinity of the door, the displays 1, 4 provided in the same side as the sensors 2, 5 display the image of the vicinity of the other side of the door picked up by the cameras 8, 7 provided on the opposite side of the door on a screen, respectively.
