PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent setting of correspondence between commodity selection buttons and commodity columns from being changed permanently by a third party. SOLUTION: A vending machine includes: a plurality of commodity selection buttons, a plurality of commodity columns; a judgement part for judging whether a first password code (A) is correct or erroneous; a setting part for associating the plurality of commodity selection buttons with the plurality of commodity columns; a control part for permitting correspondence in the setting part in the case that the code (A) is judged to be correct; a first storage part wherein first information indicating the correspondence in the setting part is stored; and a vending part for vending commodities in the plurality of commodity columns corresponding to the plurality of commodity selection buttons on the basis of the first information. A second storage part where second information indicating correspondence between a plurality of lasting periods of availability and a plurality of second password codes (B) is stored, is also included. the judgement part judges the code A to be correct or erroneous, in accordance with the code A and a code B corresponding to a period of availability including an input time of the code A, and the control part inhibits the correspondence in the setting part in case that the code is judged to be erroneous.
