PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure body which can easily perform the reinforcement, and further to provide its reinforcing method. SOLUTION: The reinforcing structure body comprises a member 2 to be reinforced, which is a hollow member and has a small diameter portion 22 with a reduced inner width, and a reinforcing material 3 which is arranged inside the member 2 to be reinforced in the state that the reinforcing material 3 is hooked on the small diameter portion 22, and is brought into close contact with the inside surface of the member 2 to be reinforced by the heat foaming. Because the reinforcing material 3 is inserted into the member 2 to be reinforced and is hooked on the small diameter portion 22, the reinforcing material 3 can be easily positioned, and can be fixed to a required position by the heat foaming.
