PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that when being dropped under a tilted state, an excessive impact load is applied to the distal end pipe from the side surface direction of the distal end pipe, and the distal end section side section of the distal end pipe may be crushed (refer to Figure 6), or the distal end pipe may be buckled at an intermediate section with a vicinity of the opening section of the mouthpiece of the distal end pipe as a fulcrum (refer to Figure 7), and the letting out of a lead becomes impossible because of the crushing or the buckling of the distal end pipe, and writing becomes impossible. SOLUTION: For this mechanical pencil, a core protective pipe is arranged on the distal end of the barrel.
