The method involves optimally keeping the rotor blades within the axis of neutral torque, while allowing the blades to rotate freely relative to an axial and radial shaft bearing. The flow forces and the pressure ratios at the profile of each rotor blade are also optimized. The blades in the neutral torque axis and the optimized blade profiles cancel out positive and negative torques acting on the blade at any angle of incidence. The shaft bearing used also provides rotation absorption to counter auto-excitation conditions.
