<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lapping method and a lapping apparatus for a spherical body, improving the lapping efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The lapping method laps a spherical body, in which the surface of a spherical machining sample 7 formed of silicon nitride ceramics or sialon ceramics by using grinding wheels 2a, 3a. The grinding wheels 2a, 3a contain abrasive grains having higher hardness than that of a machining sample 7. A working fluid containing particles causing tribo-chemical reaction in the machining sample 7 is supplied between the machining sample 7 and the grinding wheels 2a, 3a to perform lapping. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
