<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool provided with a rotating cutting tool and maintaining main data of the tool in the up-to-date state, besides connecting to the tool without losing the main data, and also to provide a tool for such a machine. <P>SOLUTION: Rotating cutting tools 2, 14 and 16 for machining a workpiece held on the machine tool, in particular for dressing the grinding worm of a tooth flank grinding machine, are provided with an annular large-capacity electronic storage 7 concentrically arranged to a rotation axis of the tool so as to store the data important in relation to use of the tool. The electronic storage 7 exchanges the data important in relation to use of the tool between an annular write/read head 10 concentrically arranged to the rotation axis of the tool at high transmission rate when the tools 2, 14 and 16 are rotated in a machining process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
