The connector has a construction unit (13), swiveling around an axis of rotation (D), by a cable support (8), and has another cable support (15) for coiling and uncoiling the cable sections located in the cable storage (3) swiveling around a winding unit (38). A rotating motion from the swiveling construction unit is coupled with a rotating motion of the winding unit by a drive unit (37,40). An independent claim is also included a method for leading a flexible cable of a rotating connector of a stationary construction unit.
