PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a dispersion value unaffected in an optical receiving station when a transmission line is disconnected and patching is to be performed in the transmission line, wherein the dispersion value is adjusted within the repeater sections of the transmission line. SOLUTION: In the repairing method of the transmission sections, the transmission line is constituted of a positive dispersion fiber 3a and a negative dispersion fiber 3b. Then, for an optical fiber to be used for patching of the transmission line, there is used an intermediate diameter between respective mode field diameters of the positive and negative dispersion fibers, so that the loss can be reduced.
