PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake releasing means provided with a plurality of switches in a robot, stopping in an emergency when one or more switches are pushed down while a power source is on, releasing braking when two or more are pushed down while the power source is off, realizing emergency stopping in the on state of the power source and brake releasing in the off state of the power source with a simple switch structure, and simply carrying and moving the robot after ensuring safety, concerning the brake releasing device for the robot stopping in an emergency and releasing braking by the plurality of switches. SOLUTION: The brake releasing means for the robot comprises a plurality of the switches stopping the robot in the emergency, a means or stopping a driving motor of the robot in an emergency when one or more switches are pushed in the on state of the power source of the robot, and a means for releasing braking of the driving motor of the robot when two or more switches are pushed in the off state of the power source of the robot.
