PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily release the contact between a wheel and a roller while they are not operating. SOLUTION: The wheel mounted onto the roller 22 of a chassis dynamometer 2 and a front part of a frame to which a motor connected to the wheel is mounted, are freely rockably supported on a fixed base by hinges, and a rear part of the frame 42 is supported on the fixed base in such a way as to be elevated and lowered by a hydraulic cylinder of which the oil pressure is controlled by a hydraulic pump 48. A verification processing device 5 monitors the completion of operation of a measuring device 4 and extends the hydraulic cylinder by controlling the hydraulic pump to move the wheel over the roller when the operation of the measuring device 4 is completed.
