<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which prevents the freeze of generated water without a large decline in the efficiency of the fuel cell system. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system includes a fuel cell stack consisting of a plurality of laminated cells among which a cell with a high voltage loss is located at an end of the lamination, and a controlling means that when the cells have a temperature equal to or lower than a prescribed temperature, reduces the amount of a fuel gas supplied to the fuel cell stack to an amount smaller than an amount of the gas that is supplied when the cells have a temperature exceeding the prescribed temperature. This encourages water electrolysis at the end cell that is easy to freeze, thus prevents the freeze of generated water without a large decline in the efficiency of the fuel cell system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
