<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To organize a system capable of cross-sectionally sharing defect information and maintenance information in different fields, which are individually generated by each piece of mechanical equipment, by allowing an equipment user and a vendor user to share the maintenance information via the Internet. <P>SOLUTION: A defect database 101 composed of equipment data and predicate data, a cause database 102 composed of object data and predicate data, and a maintenance database 103 composed of element data and predicate data, are associated with each other in an ontology data structure.
