PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which comprises an absorber which can increase the absorption rate of liquid. SOLUTION: An absorbent article 10 comprises an absorber 1 which includes a web 2 of hydrophilic long fibers, a superabsorbent polymer 3 which is embedded and supported in the web 2. In the superabsorbent polymer 3, a particle size is different in a surface sheet side and a rear surface sheet side of a front web. In the superabsorbent polymer 3, it is preferred that the particle size of the surface sheet side of the web 2 is larger than the particle size of the rear surface sheet side.
