PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a milk substitute fed to livestock comprising using vegetable oil and fat so as to produce the milk substitute having excellent granulating properties and dissolving properties, causing no caking even when preserved at ≤0°C in particular, and also not inferior to conventional milk substitutes comprising beef tallow.
SOLUTION: The method for producing the milk substitute fed to livestock comprises the following process: spraying oil and fat obtained by mixing at least two kinds of vegetable oil and fat together and further subjected to ester exchange (for example, oil and fat where palm stearin and palm oil are mixed with each other at a ratio of 8:2 to perform the ester exchange) to a powdery raw material consisting mainly of dairy components, or alternatively mixing the powdery raw material consisting mainly of the dairy components with pre-sprayed and dried ester exchange oil powder so as to be granulated. In the process, the vegetable oil and fat mixed and subjected to ester exchange is added at 15-25 wt.%, and lecithin and a polyoxyethylene glycerol fatty acid ester are used as emulsifiers.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
