Dental prosthetic element obtained by machining a composite material section comprising fibers drowned in a matrix containing a resin, comprises a layer containing at least an agent having an antimicrobic effect covered on all or part of the surface. An independent claim is included for the manufacture of the dental prosthetic element comprising preparing a section containing fibers drowned in a resin matrix, machining the section with the desired shape of the prosthetic element and applying a layer containing at least one agent having an antimicrobic effect on the obtained prosthetic element.
